All i want for Christmas

I know it's kinda late to have a wishlist now.

It's already Christmas eve and here I am finally pondering what my wishlist should be.
I know i know. I procrastinate wayyyy too much. :P
Seriously, I've been asking myself "is there anything that i really really need this Christmas?"

I couldn't really think of anything the couple of times i asked myself that question.
Well, I definitely can't say no to more make up stuff from Paul & Joe, Benefit and Stila, or cash vouchers for Zara or MNG.

But, what are the things that I really really need and would like to get now?

I was at the cake baking school again last Saturday as I needed to replenish my cupcake supplies. Yups, I'll be baking cupcakes for friends and loved ones this Christmas.

And I stumbled upon this fantastic cake caddy...

#1 This is Wilton's Ultimate 3-IN-1 Cake Caddy

I thought this is a very handy tool to have as I always worry about my cupcakes getting smudge when I transport them from place to place. It's the most convenient way to take along cakes, cupcakes, muffins and more! It features an exclusive reversible cupcake tray which holds 12 standard or 24 mini cupcakes. Or, I can even remove the tray to carry up to a 9 x 13 in. decorated cake on the sturdy locking base. I thought this was perfect to keep my cupcakes protected. :)

# 2 Wilton Decorating Tip Set

Yups, I'm not kidding you. I've been busy collecting tips as I love to discover what sort of designs I could come up with using various tips. Oh gosh, I'm sounding like an aunty man! Who wants home products for Christmas? :P

OKie, I'd better not think like an aunty anymore. What are the "less aunty" things that I need eh?

Looking at my wishlist (on the sidebar), I thought it's time I get this..

#3 iPod nano (Red)

with an incase of course (but is there another colour. perhaps red or pink?)

Or should I just get this?

#4 iPod touch

#5 Car stereo for my ninja turtle. :)

Now this one I really really need to get. I need to install a car stereo. Preferably one with the following features (yups, I'm very cincai when it comes to car gadgets):

• AM/FM/CD/MP3 Player
• Motorized, detachable face with 2-line dot matrix display
• 728 variable color choices
• Plays CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, AAC files
• Wireless remote
• Compatible with iPod adapter
• USB input
• Auxiliary input
• Multi Bit digital-to-analog converter
• High- and low-pass filters
• Subwoofer level control
• Digital Z-Enhancer EQ
• Magna Bass EX selectable bass boost
• Instant Station Recall
• 18 FM/6 AM presets
• Seek tuning
• Clock
• Three sets of 6V preamp outputs
• CD frequency response: 10-20,000 Hz
• FM sensitivity: 11 dBf

I have a feeling it's wee too late to get these..unless Santa is extra generous this year. I've been a good girl, haven't I? ;)

The Christmas mood is finally kicking in...

Yups, I'm finally feeling the festive mood alright! :)

The last week saw lotsa makan-makan, Christmas caroling, and Christmas parties at work (one for the whole campus, smaller ones by programmes and depts).

Celebration with the entire group of staff

The entire staff joining in the Christmas celebration on Friday. Staff donning the Santa hat (early bird giveaway - I didn't get one cos I was late for the celebration..)

Our students serenading us with Christmas carols.

Cosy celebration with our fellow colleagues from ADP

Sue-Ann and Alice has invited me to attend their lil Christmas celebration at ADP's Purple Box.

I went there slightly earlier to pass them my somtam (it was a potluck party), and Sue-Ann was busy decorating the place. Look at the centre piece...isn't it nice?

Every year, Sue-Ann will make some cute Xmas deco. This year, she made this. Everything is edible! Isn't this amazing? (I'm gonna search through my photos to find that picture of the one she made last year. It was a cabin made of M & Ms chocs. MmMmm...

Even the pebbles are edible. Those are fenugreek seeds. :)

Pressies from our secret santas..

We had indian rojak (from SS15, the one where you have to queue forever to buy :P), ayamas ayam percik, crackers n caviar dip, spaghetti, fried rice, domino's pizzas, somtam, fruit cake, carrot cake, choc + banana cake, ice cream and sparkling wine juice.

The gals waiting anxiously to be fed ( we were all so hungry. It didn't help when Purple box was so darn freezing!)

Sharifah, Sock Wee, Geraldine, Vinitha

Janice Y, Christine, Janice W. (we have 3 Janices in the office at the moment).

Christine wearing Janice W's mohawk headgear. Cool!

Purple box - the place where our students hang out to do their drama practices.

A cosy affair. :)

Sue-Ann aka Mulan, Christine, moi.

The drunkards..

more drunkards..

and more!!

There were only 3 males in the party.

Cheers to a great year and more happy moments to come!

I had to guess who bought me my pressie. Finally managed to figure out that my secret santa was Mrs J.

Got this necklace from her.

It was quite funny actually. Apparently it was quite easy to pick up pressies for women. It seems like there are only a couple of categories of gifts you can buy for women...

Shawls..

Recipients are: Shirley, Sharifah, Janice.

Cute jewellery racks.

Recipients: Christine and Geraldine.

Jewellery boxes

Recipients: Alice, Mrs J, Tina

Necklaces

Recipients: Noraini, me (sorry necklace not visible here).

Introducing the "dll" (dan lain-lain) category!

Mr G received a book, Mr L - a tie-rack, Sock Wee - an Ikea lamp, Mulan - a White Christmas tree, Janice- a La senza membership card, Vinitha - a box of bath products.

Christine's pressie.
I like this ballerina jewellery rack a lot. Very very sweet.

Thanks for the invitation Sue-Ann + Alice. I had a wonderful time at the party.

Have a blessed Christmas everyone! Ho ho ho!

Party perfect lashes

The ladies in the house are all busy trying out their new toys - fake eye lashes. (Yup, even my mum is crazy about them. But she gets the privilege of asking her daughters to put them for her :P).

Yups, big, beautiful lashes are the "in" thing now.

With fake eyelashes, any woman can easily go from plain to glamourous in just seconds. Whether you apply a few singles to create a subtle change or full lashes for optimal drama, practice first as this is a tricky beauty enhancer.

We women are lucky as today’s fake eyelashes are more natural. There are dozens and dozens of brands to choose from, and several types of lashes (full set, clumps, or individual lashes). This array of choices will make it easy to apply fake eyelashes, and achieve the look you want to create.

Full lashes - you might need to trim the end bits.

With diamante

Pink lashes?

The criss-crossed ones are most natural.

M.A.C has a very impressive range of fake eyelashes too.

Full sets are the easiest to apply, and individual lashes the hardest since they require a very steady hand. Maybe I'm a slow learner, but it did take me a while to get use to glueing the eye lashes and lotsa practices to get it right.

When you are first learning how to apply false eyelashes you should practice several times, and wear them at home before venturing out into the world.
Remember - practice practice practice. It may look easier than it actually is.

Also, bring your glue along just in case you need to touch up your lashes.
(yup, they can stick out a bit if it's not glued correctly - happened to me before :P).

My sisters are already very "pro" at wearing their fake eyelashes. They can even wear the lashes in the car!!! I am so envious. I definitely need more practice. I am so NOT there yet!

When it comes to wearing fake eyelashes, what's better than to learn from the pro herself? She's none other than Xiaxue, Singapore's top controversial blogger.

Check out her video on How to Apply False Eyelashes with Ease.
Presenting XiaXue's Guide to Life - Fake Eyelashes.

Well, for those of you eager to try putting on fake eyelashes...have fun! I hope that you guys will be pros before Christmas so that you'll be able to have your very own DIY party perfect lashes.

Muahhhh xx
