Queen's birthday 2009

Gong Xi Fa Cai everyone!

I know this is late. And I know I have quite a couple of posts backlogged :p, but hey..better late than never right?

I'll start off with mum's birthday.

~*~*~*17th Jan 2009*~*~*~

As mum loves only Chinese food, every year we'll head off for something 'Chinese' for dinner. This year, we decided to go for xiao long baos at Din Tai Feng @ Gardens.

Only thing that's different is that our fave lil sis, Claudine is not here to celebrate this year. She's currently chilling in the states spending Xmas, New Year, and Valentine's with her beau, Suanz.

Speaking of which, we're all pretty excited as we bought quite a few stuff online and she's gonna be bringing those back for us, including some of mum's pressies.

The King and Queen. The two people I adore most. :)

My parents with their 2 daughters.

MIA = Ven Bee aka Claudine. We miss you already sis! No mahjong kaki for CNY this year man!

Mum's fave men!

Din Tai Feng is famous for its xiao long baos.

We had one basket with crab meat, and another with shrimps.

Fried rice with pork cutlets.

Dan Dan Mien. We really miss the dan dan mien in China and Taiwan.

Wantan with chives instead of prawn. We wanted a healthier alternative for dad.

Smoked snow fish

For dessert, we had thousand layer cake. I lurrrvee the black sesame paste that goes with it.

And off we went to Mid Valley to do some last minute CNY shopping. Mid Valley always boasts the nicest festive deco.

Oooh... i like these lanterns. Love how the flowers complement the lanterns.

Back at home...

"Happy birthday mum!" Muaks!

Even my doggies were celebrating and wishing mummy happy birthday. They were all waiting by the coffee table, hoping to be given a slice of the birthday cake. LOL!

We got her a set of Alqvimia body oil for the following: detoxification, anti-ageing, firming, anti stress, and body sculpting.

As for the rest of her gifts, well they are on the way back from the states...pretty soon.

Up next, CNY posts as well as Jazz's belated birthday photos.
Have a bullish year everyone!
