Japanese cuisine at Kogetsu

~*~*~* Japanese cuisine at Kogetsu*~*~*~

As mentioned before, our team (Marketing, Student Services as well as Administrative staff) headed to Kogetsu @ Saujana Subang to celebrate the fact that we've hit our target for both intakes and we're at an all time high too!

Kudos ADP!

Kogetsu means : Lake Moon

Our view by the window, overlooking the 'lake'

21 pax altogether

Our company has pre-selected 2 types of set menu for us. (yups, only 2...i love choices, and i hate the fact that i didnt really have a choice :P).

We could choose between these 2:

Set 1: Sashimi moriawase set RM100 nett

Set 2: Non-sashimi (cooked) set RM100 nett

We felt that the list of food shown on our set menu wasn't substantial enough. So we each ordered a soft shell crab temaki (RM28).

I selected the sashimi set of cos.
#1: selection of sashimi - salmon, tuna and sea bass

i thought my sashimi looks kinda disappointing, cos i was really hungry...

until Christine showed me her appetizer. She selected the cooked set.

#1: Kobachi (chef's appetizer)

#2: chawan mushi

i love chawan mushi...and it wasn't served in my set =(

hehe..Sue-Ann gave me her chawan mushi as she doesn't enjoy eating steamed egg. MmmMmm
Thanks gal!

Christine giving the egg a 'so-so' rating

#2 Osuimono (clear soup with seafood in a teapot)

#5 Osuimono (clear soup with seafood in a teapot)

#3 Agemono

#3 Agemono - selection of tempura

#4: gohanmono - garlic fried lice rice

#4: menrui - hot soba/udon with japanese mushroom

as usual, i was hoping to have black sesame ice cream with azuki for dessert...but they dont serve it here

anyway, ocha ice cream is a-ok with me too.

Ahh..the food was pretty good.

My only complain was the service. There was this one waitress who really pissed me off. She was frantically going around our tables, trying to snatch whatever plates or cutleries off us, even before we finished our food.

i bet she was in a hurry to shoo us out the door so she could do less work or go home earlier.

You know, when i was enjoying my soup. She actually tried to clear my table before i even completed it....and she bloody took the lid of my teapot away. i was pissed, how to pour the soup out if the lid's not on? bugger! i told her i needed the lid back on.

she has this stupid garang (fierce looking) face and she did appear rather impatient. felt like slapping her only.

i was on the verge of snapping when she curtly replied something rather sarcastic to one of my colleagues.

so what did i do? i wrote what she did on the feedback form.

hope she gets a good sounding or perhaps a slap or two from her captain.
