Fabulously so

~*~*~* Fabulously so*~*~*~
One of the common resolutions between my cheemuis and i this year is: to make an effort to celebrate each other's birthday.

And i'm proud to say that we are doing pretty fine keeping this resolution.

So far, we've celebrated Men's birthday in Feb at Jake's, Damansara Heights.

Sorry Men, the pix turned out really blur.
(yups, we didnt bring a camera, was using my mobile to snap these photos).

*pix deleted upon request*

Last week, we celebrated Mon's birthday at Genji, PJ Hilton.

It was a timely celebration as we havent seen each other in a while. It was perfect for me to unwind, get all dolled up and enjoy myself.

(my apologies as the pix didnt turned out nicely...it was the lighting and my phone cam la)

The entrance to Genji..
i feel like i'm in sakura-land!

As you enter..

My appetite was immediately aroused as i enter and saw this colourful spread of omochi (little glutinous balls with red bean fillings)

desserts galore under the cherry blossom tree

Cindy and Carmen busy chattering away

Genji has a very homely feel to it..

The birthday gal reading her card

She obviously likes the cash vouchers we got her

You should look at the food..
I'm now re-assessing my food intake after seeing how much i've eaten..

horror horror!

1st serving: Various sashimi and bowl of salad with chuka sauce.

2nd serving: Miso soup, more raw delicacies (salmon n baby octopus) , wakame + preserves

3rd serving: chawan mushi

4th serving: prawn tempura + soft shell crab

5th serving: okonomiyaki (japanese pancake)
I took this to share with the gals..

Edamame for all to share. It'll go down very well with a glass of kirin beer.

i only had one omochi for dessert and 2 slices of dragon fruit.

one of my faves: macha ice cream with azuki
it'd be more shiok if they had black sesame ice creams

a bowl of japanese glutinous rice ball (tong yuen) in red bean soup

Our actual plan was to have dinner at Genji, then proceed to Alexis (Bangsar) for cakes. However, we changed our plan cos we were too full to force anymore food into our mouths.

And so, we proceeded to Flo Bar, Equatorial hotel for drinks. Wise choice. Have always loved the ambience.

On our way to the restroom, guess who Carmen saw??

None other than our own national heroine, Ms Nicol David. She actually smiled at Carmen. What a friendly lass.

Me and Mon chilling out at Flo

There are more pictures to come. These are just pix taken from my phone cam. Am awaiting for Mon's pix.
