Remember i told you that i'll be bringing Joshua to my vet for boarding? Well, i took him home instead :P

What happened eh? Oh well, when i was waiting for the dr, lil Joshua was very playful and affectionate with me. He was looking a lot better as compared to the day before.

Dr Francis did a check on him and according to him, Joshua's heart rate is normal, lungs normal, no fracture. Everything's looking well. Woohoo.

Dr said i could leave him there, but the vet will close at 7pm and will re-open the following day at 10am. And i was thinking that the poor fella will probably be hungry and i din wanna give him more stress already.

Smuggled him home..and boy, was he happy. By night time, he has learned how to eat off my hand. Initially, we had to force feed him. Woohoo...that's an achievement. =)

Until today, mum still doesn't know that lil Josh is upstairs. I put him besides where Caryn keeps her hamsters. hehe

Day 3

By day 3 he was very inquisitive. He started sniffing around and sussing the living room area.

By evening, he was prancing around, hopping and playing peek-a-boo. Even my sisters are happily watching him play.

His appetite is growing man. This lil fella gobble down the entire serving of tuna fish. Not bad at all!

Project kitty kat

I'm asking all of you, yes you, to please pray for this kitty kat.

My colleague, Esmond first showed me the litter a few days ago. Yup, we have another litter again! There are lots of cats hanging out at the emergency stairwell in our carpark.

I really fear and worry for these mother cats and their kitties. There are just too many of them here. I worry that whenever the mummy cat goes out to scour for food, she get bangs by a car or something and never come back again.

Okay, back to the cats....

Christine, Esmond and i have been going to feed the mother cat on a daily basis. So yesterday, when we were there. The mummy cat wasn't there. She has actually brought the 3 kitties up a flight of stairs and we were worried that the kitties might fall off outta the window as they're pretty near the place.

So we decided to move the kittens to their normal place, where it is safe.

Oh, what a terrible mistake we've done! As soon as Esmond put the little kitty down, he scuttled away really quickly..

And...he was so near the edge of the stairs. I was practically frozen and told Esmond to quickly rescue the kitty. He was pretty far away..and he said, "dun worry, they'll know and will stop and sniff..not likely to fall"...

Before he could finish the sentence, the kitty lost its grasp and fell.

I really regret not rushing to try to grab the kitty. I was also worried that when i rushed over, i might have frightened the kitty and he'll fall from fright.

Oh my goodness, he fell down one flight of stairs. I was so traumatised from seeing the whole thing transpiring in front of my eyes..that i couldnt move at all.

Esmond rushed down to assess the situation. The lil kitty seem to be alive and he seems to have hurt his legs.

Christine and i then rush him to the doctor in SS17 (Healing Rooms, part of Pets Wonderland).

We had a really good doctor, he was very understanding and dedicated. Dr Vijayndra told us that he'd have to run a couple of test to assess the damage. We're not sure if there's any internal injurys like damage to the nervous systems, spinal chord, bladder rupture, etc.

He also told us that cats are very hardy creature and can miraculously get well too. This is what we're hoping for. A miracle. And i'm asking for all of you to please pray for this little kitty to heal completely.

He prescribed some medication to prevent swelling and bleeding and told us that we would have to monitor the kitty for 3 days to see if there's any improvements or not.

Christine and i were frantically calling friends if they wanna adopt the kitty as the 2 of us are not able to adopt the kitty. I have 4 dogs at home and i'm mostly not use these days. As for Christine, there's no one at home as well.

So therefore, i appeal to you ...if you could, please pass this along to whoever who loves animals and see if they're willing to adopt this little sweetie pie.

So where's the kitty now you ask?

We took him back to the office...Esmond and Christine fed him. While i cleaned his poo-poo. Was shocked when i saw blood in the poo. Called Dr Vijay, he said if he bleeds again, we need to stop the medication immediately.

I went back to the office at around 10:30pm (after gym) to feed kitty his medication and some food. He was meowing on and off. Poor thing. I think he probably scared, lonely and in pain.

Stayed for a while to calm the lil kitty and gave him some tlc. Left the office at about 11:45pm. He'll be staying overnight at the office.

Day 2

The lil kitty was meowing pretty loud this morning. We were worried that our management might find out.

Glad to know that he's not vomitting or showing signs of diarrhea as those are NOT GOod signs!

He's also eating as well. =) Thank you Lord!

I plan to bring him to the vet for boarding this weekend if we haven't found him a new home by this evening.

Christine and i are still trying to look for a good home for this kitty. So, if you know of anyone with a kind loving heart. Please let me know.

We've just christened the kitten and named him lil Joshua. He is really cute and so adorable. Lil Josh has a white greyish coat with blue eyes. He's got the cutest beady eyes i've ever seen. Trust me, you'll fall in love with him.

Our marketing team kicked off Q1 2007 by doing another great makan session.

Dolly suggested TJ Haus as she recently went there and the food was fantastic. I've heard too from my ex-boss that this place offers a fabulous spread of German food at value for money prices.

Tuck-away in a hidden part of SS14, stands this fantastic eatery on the 1st floor along a row of shoplots. It's actually on the highway opposite McDonald's SS15 for those of you who wanna know.

I wouldn't have known if it wasnt for the word of mouth recommendation.


My first thought was, "oooh..i'm sooOoo gonna try the pork knuckles and the german sausages".


But to my disappointment, i couldn't find these on the menu. I was pretty puzzled, seeing that it's a german restaurant and all.

Asked the waitress and she recommended some other specialty of theirs as she said they do not serve pork here. Was a tad bit disappointed, but was kinda excited to try something new as well.


Now, allow me to introduce these yummilicious goodies to you..

Pumpkin cream soup garnished with whipped cream and roasted pumpkin seeds. This is by far one of the best pumpkin soups i've tasted in Malaysia. (The best i had so far is in good ol Sydney).

And...the best thing is: it's damn value for money. RM6.50 only.

Pfahlmuscheln - fresh herbs and garlic gratinated mussels. MmmMmm..

Madagaskar Ribeye Steak - Beef steak with green pepper sauce. It's served with roasted bacon potatoes (or spuds as i normally call it) and some season veges.

Mmm..it's really damn juicy and tender. Elvin had the honour of cutting it for us.

For fish lovers, you can try their signature Grilled Sole.
It's grilled with herbs butter and served with spinach and parsley potatoes. This is one is what i call a balanced meal. I was pretty surprise to find out that it's served atop a huge serving a spaghetti as well.

Calamari A la Mediterrance - fried spice calamari served with spinach potatoes.

This dish kinda reminds me of sambal ala sotong. The rest liked it, i didn't.

Crispy Duck (german style) . Oh my goodness, i thought i was in heaven when the duck skin melted in my mouth.
Mmmmm.. The duck is grilled to perfection in orange sauce. It's served with red cabbage (we initially thought it was beet root) and boiled potatoes.

This is my favourite dish..and it's DA BOMB! You really absolutely positively have to try this, especially if you're a duck lover!

And you know how much this cost? Merely RM19.50

Gosh, the pair of duck breasts in Flower Drum (Melbourne) costs like AUD40. That was way way larger a damage.

So i figure i can have this crispy duck very often since it's so damn good and value for money.

This is their signature lamb shank. Needless to say, it's also damn good. Especially bcoz the fatty bits goes well with the lean meat. It comes with gravy but it's already very delicious on its own. I love the mashed too!

We ordered this seafood platter as we were initially very famish. By the time this arrived, i was too full to even try. Was kinda addicted to the duck and duck only. hehehe..

(also, i was saving my stomach for dessert. Coz i heard the cheesecake here is to die for).

What i've been waiting for...

i love the strawberry jelly layer on the cheese. I think this cheesecake is not made from the ordinary philadelphia cream cheese that you get from the market. It's so smooth and light, it taste like it's made from mascarpone cheese. Also, the biscuit base was reallllllllllllllly yummy.

Banana fritter served with ice cream and fruits - a hot and cold number.

Bavarian vanilla creme custard served with whipped serve and fruits. Dolly likes this one.

Look at how much duck Kitson (Dolly's hubby) whacked. Gotta admit that the 5 of us are gluttons la! LOL

This is whatever's left of the lamb shank. My dogs would love the boner man!

While i was like busy taking picture of every single dish, this guy from the next table spoke to me.

Guy: Hey, why are you so busy taking pictures of the food? Like you are a fetish or something?

Me: oh..i like to blog about good food.

Before i could finish, all my colleagues chimed in and told the guy that i'm a serial blogger.

So that got us wondering if he's the owner of TJ Haus.
And i was pretty curious as to what TJ stands for.

Elvin: Tom and Jerry?
Me: hah? what? Might as well as him if he's the owner la. Then can find out what TJ stands for.

Went to speak to the guy to suss it out.

Yep, he's the owner. And he is Jeffrey. His chef/partner (a German of cos) is Thomas.

Ahh..so desu ne. Thomas and Jeffrey. Elvin, you're very very close dude!

Jeff then invited me inside (we were seated by the veranda facing outdoor) to introduce me to Thomas.

Was so full from dinner that upon arriving the office, Elvin and i went for jalan-jalan at the newly opened pasar malam at Subang Uptown. It's open daily from 10pm - 3am.

Elvin told me that over 80 stalls have signed up. It has only been in operation for less than a week.

As usual, you'll find vendors selling bags, clothings, food, etc

We found one interesting stall selling fishes..

I didnt buy much. Bought some cutesy handphone tassles for my sis, a hairband and 2 pairs of earrings.

AirAsia is doing it again!

Oh damn!! I'm just so pissed! Just when i traded in my enrich points for a return flight to Bangkok, I'm now told that AirAsia is giving away 1,000,000 free tickets to over 70 routes across Asia!!!!!!

Booking period is from today, 9th - 19th Jan.

I'm now busy clicking on every single date on the website to see if i could try my luck in getting RM0 tickets.

But the problem is...i dunno who to go with. Also, i dunno where to go...I'm thinking of either Macau (then to HK of cos) for the good food or Bali to rest n relax.

While searching, was busy calling frens to see if they know when they're available for a trip. Was talking to Kel, and he said he's goin to Bkk in May already. Goin for 2 trips in a year quite "siong" for his pocket.

Spoke to sis, she said she doesn't mind. But her beau will be coming along of cos.. And it's true la, since we're goin to Bkk in March, we're expecting to splurge in Bangkok. So if we're goin for another trip a few months down the line, we're so goin to refrain ourselves from shoppin like crazy in Bkk..no shiok also!

In the end, i gave up. Too tired to search anymore..The website is an absolute madhouse..Kept getting error messages. Sien-ness.

I also remember that i've made a new year resolution to reserve some money. Ahh...it feels so good to click "X" on the window. No need to select where to go, who to go with...yadayada..

Anil - celebrated his 32nd birthday at Simon's place. Instead of cakes, he got to cut La
Cremeria ice cream. The lucky guy fed all of us bits of the ice cream.

BBQ and Booze party - at Simon's newly revamped bachelor pad. It's damn chic and
minimalist. Love it.

Card games - Simon has a deck of porno cards with women flaunting their tits....

Lavinia and Yen-Nee suggested for us to stick a card on our foreheads and the one with the
smallest tits (card) has to drink. Since we all dunno which card we've got, it's a game of
psycho-ing each other. We had an option to pass (thus drink half the content of the cup) or
to top up more liqour (any of our choice) into the cup.. That was a totally brainless game. Got us so damn drunk!
