R & R at Perhentian

We have one more day and counting...before me and my cheemuis go on our yearly get-a-way to Perhentian island. This is gonna be a 4d3n escapade =)

Am sooOoo excited. But i'm also equally not-over-excited about the fact that i'll be turning charcoal black after the trip. :(

So, I'm gonna pack heaps of sun protection creams and whatnots tonight (even though the girls have forbidden me to bring lots of stuff. They have set a limit of max 3 items in my toiletries bag). Yes, i am that afraid of getting burnt cos it will take me forever to de-tan myself.

So i guess you wont be hearing much from me until next week.

Working out? or Pigging out?

Brought my colleagues, Celine, Michael and Diana to the gym a few nites ago.

We spent an hour doing Party Jam (Hip hop class) and another half hour checking out the equipment. Total calories burnt: approx 300 - 400.

After showering and steaming ourselves to the equivalent of dimsum in the sauna, we had dinner at Uncle Lim's.

Yups, we're ordering for 3. Diana didn't order as she was going to eat dinner with her bf later.

Michael and Diana...and with our food!! We had 5 sets of roti bakar, porridge, mushroom noodle, 2 sets of half boiled egg, and curry puff.

Michael being Michael, he asked for extra sambal and extra kaya. Look at how much we're given!!

Total calories consumed: approx 800-1000 per person. Talk about being self destructive! :P

Bangkok - something new every time

Bangkok is truly a fascinating place. Every time i visit this place, i discover something new which is uniquely thai and interesting.

We're back at Suvarnabumi airport again!! Super excited to start our shopping spree.

A day after the release of Transformers. I'm so glad I watched it the night (during the premiere) before my flight. Love it. The part where Bumblebee lost his leg was damn emo for moi.

These SALE signages were everywhere! So bloody tempting!

I'm not used to waiting for a cab, so near the curb!! Pretty freaky, not to mention the amount of exhaust fumes i've inhaled into my lungs!

Thai ppl are very creative. I love all their ads! And their models are HOT!

This was something I didn't expect to find. I actually found a stall in Chatuchak specialising in couture gown designs for Barbie dolls. And I got so excited. =)

Damn glam okay.

The designer of the Barbie gowns actually designed this headgear as a decorative chair for Barbie.

We visited the Pets area instead of the clothings area for a change.

I saw this cute shih tzu by the name of Wax, who belongs to one of the stall owners. I was missing my doggies at home by then. And Wax sorta cheered me up, by showering me with lotsa xoxo =)

Talk about being faithful.
Everyday, there is a continuous stream of ppl going to Erawan Shrine to worship the 4 faced Buddha.

It seems like it's a huge thing to give prayers on a Monday. Caryn bought some flowers and joss sticks from the street vendor and proceeded to pray to the 4 faced Buddha.

Look at the amount of wreaths there are on the railing.

Yups, thats a Burberry outlet alright. Erawan Shrine is strategically located besides the Erawan Shopping Centre, right in the heart of the shopping area.

Holy water?
I saw this mummy feeding her daughter the holy water, then she used the said water to wash her daughter's face.

These 2 couple on the right made a donation and requested for a specific prayer. The dancers actually sang and danced (i think it's some sort of a prayer ritual).

After the performance, the lady looked much more relaxed and at eased. She looked as if she was troubled at first. Good for her.

Catching up

You know how i love to chill on sundays.

Well, it's either i'm getting more n more busy by the day or there are just too many things happening at the same time.

Or that i may be a sadist, thus i subject myself to cramping in every damn thing possible so that i may accomplish them all at once.

I started off my Sunday by having lunch at Eden, with my gym mates - Tiffany + her family (who are all members of Celebrity Fitness), and Elinna + her hubby, Bahrin.

That was actually a lil farewell lunch for Tiff as she'll be going over to Canada to pursue her tertiary education the following weekend.

It was high time for me to catch up with Shukz and Mich. I was excited to know what Shukz latest wedding plans are and what we could offer to help. Well, the gals were more interested to check out my loots from my buying trip.:P

Mich tried this tee and she loved the material so much so that she kept it on =). Mich also grabbed my last black Diva tee. Shukz bought pearl earrings, a cola tee and a gold bear tee from SugarPoppins. [As I'm writing this, Shukz just called up and said she's interested to get the blouses from here ]

Mich loves this charmed bracelet.

Carmen just had a minor surgery to remove her appendix. And Mon, Cindy and myself went to visit her after she's been discharged. [sorry i'm not allowed to post any photos here]

We did however brought the patient for dinner (yups, she is that happening!). We had dinner at One Noodle in SS2.
