Ze month of great indulgence - Elvin's birthday
Started pigging out since end Oct...
1st week was to celebrate my colleague, Elvin's birthday...(or even a week before that, we celebrated Chong Sern's birthday).
Elvin received a bouquet of roses (3 stalks to be exact) from a secret admirer. Up till now, he still have no clue who that person is...Btw, 3 stalks means "i love you" right?
Dinner at Shang......
Dolly ordered a bottle of spanish wine.
Elvin had the honour to test and taste the wine. Torres..good stuff!
Me and Elvin...after a long hard day at work, it was certainly time for us to unwind...afterall, it's Friday nite!!
Christine, the bday boy, and Dolly...
i had a difficult time trying to choose which concoction i wanted...wasnt sure whether i should go for the beetroot detox drink or the rejuvenating citrus mix, or that yummy berry thingy?? decided to go for more red wine instead... problem solved!
i just lurve the spread at lemon garden....eye candy kaokao!
i promised myself that i'd go for my cheese and cracker after i've whacked my mains...but u know wat? i forgot all about it...perhaps i was just too full..
most ppl would go for oysters first...as for me, i'm a sashimi gal..so naturally, it's the raw tuna and salmon dat i'm drawn to first...
then only the oysters...
and other shellfishes....
wanted to try the roast lamb, but din in the end. Doll said it was good though...
i took pictures of my food intake, yeah...for the sake of calorie counting. :p Nolar, more like i was curious to know how much i could stuff into this body of mine...
1st serving... salmon, tuna and seabass sashimi, assorted rolls, ginger slices.
Notice that there are 3 chopsticks in a pack..how queer!
2nd serving: Saw Chef Taki and got him to choose 5 fat oysters for moi. I like mine served with tabasco sauce and a dash of lemon juice.
Yeah, 5 oysters! What fantastic aphrodisiac huh?!!
Couldnt resist the salmon, had to have more..
3rd serving: sashimi, a mini plate of courgette-eggplant mixed, mushroom quiche, bruschetta (this had way too much garlic...yucks! the ones i make are yummier!), and this fantastic beef enoki (golden mushroom) thingy which i absolutely love.
4th serving: tempura mix..sayang they didnt have my fave tempura potato and tempura pumpkin.. =(
5th serving: chinese herbal soup...
This was yummy...i wanted to go for more, but refrained myself from doing so..
Now you see it, now you dun! Yups, i'm also a soup junkie
6th serving: satays (i didnt expect the satays to be so good here! serious!), chicken shawarma (this was fantastic too!!), tandoori chicken (a lil too dry), beef enoki (again), and a shot of something which tasted like tabasco mixture gone bad...tsk tsk..
Doll with her long-time Aussie-Greek fren, Chef Taki.
Doll was so sweet, she pre-ordered a bday cake for Elvin. We're damn lucky to have a manager like her. She really takes very good care of all of us.
Elvin was damn touched la.. =) *awwWww*
Needless to say, the cake was superb!
so yummilicious... *drool*
we all started curi-ing the white chocs while waiting for our plates to arrive.
naughty Elvin..
yes, i know i look like a lobster..blame it on the wine!
my portion of the cake. Dun these 2 strawberries look like a pair of tits or something?
After the cake, i went to scour for more desserts...As usual, i always reserve some space in moi stomach for desserts.
Such a difficult selection/elimination process...which ones to take, which ones to forget?
and i took these...
7th serving: mixed berries souffle, strawberry pavlova-like thingy, mango pudding (this is da bomb!!), and a piece of chocolate.
as if dat wasnt enough..
Elvin and i went to the choc fountain and we had sommore desserts!! oh gee..
thank God i didnt pile on extra weights after all these makan sessions..
Phew~
