The cat's outta the bag
I was totally unprepared when she asked me ,"Girl, are you keeping a cat?" For a split second, i didnt know what to say. All i did was nod..and then explained to her that i'm only keeping Joshua for a while until my colleague, Sharifah can take him in.
Yups guys, the good news is Sharifah and her hubby have agreed to adopt Joshua. The bad news is it's not gonna happen anytime soon. As the two of them are moving into their lovenest only in end Feb/early March, Josh will have to be with me till then. But now that mum found out about Josh, it's pretty tough to do so.
And you know how my mum found out about Josh? So not worth it man! I thought Xiao Bai's visits every morning would have given Josh away...but no! It was my maid. What happened was...mum wanted to throw away Josh's food in the fridge and my maid told her not to. Upon further interrogation, my maid spilled everything. Apa-lah!
So i negotiated with mum. Finally, she relented as i promised her that it's a temporary thing. She's really worried that i might get too attached to Josh and keep him permanently. phew....
That's all for this week fellas. Have a good weekend!

~Of dogs and cats~
Husky and Ruby
~*~*~*~*~
Every morning, my Xiao Bai will jump over the lil fence (we block the entrance of the stairs by putting one of those fence thingy to stop my dogs from running up the stairs and sabo-ing the furniture...ya, i have 2 alpha males who wanna mark their territory and another little boy -CJay very eager to copy their every movement).
Xiao Bai will run up the stairs and sit right in front of Joshua's cage. He'll wait for me to open the cage and feed Josh. After makan, Josh will run around the area and Bai will be following Josh. At first, the lil kitty was a lil sceptical about Bai's presence. Now, they're like close buds man!
Just look at the pictures..They speak volumes about how dogs and cats can and do live happily together.
i hope you enjoy these piccies as much as i do.
These two are just the most playful duo. Xiao Bai is so engrossed with Joshua that you can barely see his facial expression. He didnt even wanna pose for the camera :P
I love unwinding with my pets. It's the perfect way to end or start the day!

First wedding of the year
It was definitely the first wedding of the year for me.
Phein was my classmate in high school but we only got to know each other much much better and became close buddies during our years in Monash (Clayton) where we lived in the halls of residence. Phein, U Li, Ai Fong, and i were cooking buddies. Phein will cook with U Li whilst Ai Fong and i will do the washing and vice versa.
took this picture near the entrance of zeta bar. this is about as close as i can get to taking a picture with the twin towers as the background.
made this gown using thai silk when i was in bangkok with the gals last year.
Standing L-R: San, Me, Kue Peng
Seated L-R: Phaik May, Ju Ann
The gals have been assigned to man the registration table for the bride. Therefore, we were cam-whoring around the area until most of the guests arrived.
Me and my best friend, Sook San.
San's currently studying her PhD in Biomedical Science at Melbourne Uni. Miss her a great deal as i only get to see her once a year. She's got 3 more years till the completion of her course. San, i miss having someone to talk to. Thanks for being my best friend for so many years...XOXO
Ju Ann's now a doctor, San's obtained the pretigious Prime Minister Award to pursue her PhD with UniMelb, and Kuep (always the first in our class, 5ST1) is now pursuing her Masters in US. Am very proud of you gals.
Accessories on the registration table
more roses... =)
Here comes the bride.
Congratulations to you, Sook Phein and Hien Lin!
Woman you look absolutely stunning!
The groom did something amazing that night. We were told that he'll be donating all the proceeds of his angpows that night to charity. Thank you Hien Lin, that's very noble of you.
got this bouquet from one of the bridemaids, Hung Yen.
What a small world!I didnt expect to meet my ex-colleague, Kar Yee here.
She spotted me cos i went up to the stage to give a stalk of flower to the singer (Sharizat, also the emcee for the night). Kar Yee is actually the sister-in-law to Vincent (Sook Phein's bro).
And...I actually attended Vincent's wedding few years back. Funny how some ppl are connected that way...
Standing L-R: Wai Ho, Leona's bf.
Seated L-R: Wai Ho's wife, Leona, me, Ai Fong
Friends since primary school: Aifie, Mei Ching, me.
Mei Ching is actually the wedding co-ordinator for Phein. She's currently working as a conference producer. She's recently gotten married last year and since then, she's discovered her passion in wedding preparation and planning.
This event is a first for her and i'm sure they'll be many more in the near future. Feel free to check out her blog if you wish to suss out more information as to what to do/not to do/how to prepare for your wedding.
What's a wedding without the occasional "yum seng"?
Dear Phein and hubby, I wish the both of you a life filled with happiness and contentment.
May your love for each other be renewed everyday. Cherish and love each other as when you first fell in love.
cheers!
Ven

Thank you AirAsia
Merci beaucoup Monsieur Tony Fernandez!
Went out with my cheemuis last friday for our AGM at Starbucks, Mont Kiara. We were gonna discuss and try to find a date where we can all go on a girlie trip together.
We decided on Hanoi, but it's fully booked. So was Macau. =(
Kept trying and trying, but nothing seems to be available during the period that we could go.
In the end, we decided to go to an island somewhere here in Msia instead. Mon suggested Perhentian island. So off we went clicking on Kota Bharu... And we managed to secure 4 free tickets to Kota Bharu in July.. wooOoo HooOo..How cool is that!
Do you have any suggestion which resort we should book ourselves into? Also, which is better...Perhentian Besar or Perhentian Kecil?

Karaoke marathon
Yeah, i went for like a 5 hrs + karaokie marathon at Red box, the Curve with Sook San, Shuk Yee and Chee Yong last Saturday. Started at 10:30pm and lasted till 4am.
Madness!
The package included 3 jugs of beer, a plate of fruits, a birthday cake, and 1 bottle of sparkling grape juice. Haha..not bad at all!
There were only 4 of us, and we practically sang ourselves silly. Had lotsa chances to pick songs that we normally wont sing in a big group.
I chose Utada Hikaru's First Love <-- thank God they provided the lyrics in romaji. Sang damn a lot of Faye Wong's songs too ...sang puas-puas. Now, i may not know how to read Mandarin well, but that doesnt mean i kenot sing in Chinese okie? I memorise kao kao liao. :P
The fun part came when we sang a medley which started off with "Lady Marmalade", then to "I will survive". Damn high man.
Was damn surprised that they have our Kylie Minogue classic "I should be so lucky", so funny singing a song i used to boogie to when i was a 10 year old kid. Nearly did the loco-motion as well.
Also, what would a girlie karaoke session be (sorry Chee Yong :P) without "Eternal Flame" , "Yesterday Once More" and "Superwoman"...gosh girls, we should do this again.
Ppl, would you agree with me when i say that Teresa Teng's "Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin" (The moon represents my heart) is a song that every banana knows how to sing.

Project kitty kat
My colleague, Esmond first showed me the litter a few days ago. Yup, we have another litter again! There are lots of cats hanging out at the emergency stairwell in our carpark.
I really fear and worry for these mother cats and their kitties. There are just too many of them here. I worry that whenever the mummy cat goes out to scour for food, she get bangs by a car or something and never come back again.
Esmond rushed down to assess the situation. The lil kitty seem to be alive and he seems to have hurt his legs.
Dr Vijay checking on the little boy
I went back to the office at around 10:30pm (after gym) to feed kitty his medication and some food. He was meowing on and off. Poor thing. I think he probably scared, lonely and in pain.
This is the box we put lil Josh in when we sent him to the vet.
Email me to let me know if you wanna adopt lil Josh.
