Karaoke marathon
Yeah, i went for like a 5 hrs + karaokie marathon at Red box, the Curve with Sook San, Shuk Yee and Chee Yong last Saturday. Started at 10:30pm and lasted till 4am.
Madness!
The package included 3 jugs of beer, a plate of fruits, a birthday cake, and 1 bottle of sparkling grape juice. Haha..not bad at all!
There were only 4 of us, and we practically sang ourselves silly. Had lotsa chances to pick songs that we normally wont sing in a big group.
I chose Utada Hikaru's First Love <-- thank God they provided the lyrics in romaji. Sang damn a lot of Faye Wong's songs too ...sang puas-puas. Now, i may not know how to read Mandarin well, but that doesnt mean i kenot sing in Chinese okie? I memorise kao kao liao. :P
The fun part came when we sang a medley which started off with "Lady Marmalade", then to "I will survive". Damn high man.
Was damn surprised that they have our Kylie Minogue classic "I should be so lucky", so funny singing a song i used to boogie to when i was a 10 year old kid. Nearly did the loco-motion as well.
Also, what would a girlie karaoke session be (sorry Chee Yong :P) without "Eternal Flame" , "Yesterday Once More" and "Superwoman"...gosh girls, we should do this again.
Ppl, would you agree with me when i say that Teresa Teng's "Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xin" (The moon represents my heart) is a song that every banana knows how to sing.
