New donut joint in town
Newly opened for only a week, it has garnered quite a long string of loyal fans already.
So, if you feel like donuts or simply something sweet, check out Big Apple @ The Curve (besides Eden restaurant).

The original glaze donuts are really yummy, and this is as Krispy Kreme as you can get. Which means, it's soft, fluffy and has a melt-in-your mouth texture compared to the normal doughnuts you get.
Good news is that it's only RM2 a piece. In Australia, you pay AUD2.50 for one, and when I was in London i had to pay 99p for the same thing (ouch!).
They're having a promotion now in conjunction with their inaugural opening. Buy 1 dozen, get half a dozen for FREE. Also, 1 dozen only costs RM17.60.
And if you're there, go chill, have a cuppa and you'll get a donut free too.
I'm so gonna go there this weekend.

Yup, was there last weekend for the opening.lol..i couldn't resist checking out the roundest things in town. I like their open-kitchen concept, but lacks the ambience for an afternoon cuppa though. Great for take-aways!Location-wise, it's next to the loo.It even has this 'loo signage' yanked in smack on the wall, which I found pretty amusing.Wonder what Lilian Too would say eh?=p

i so need to rest now. went clubbing last nite and only slept for like 3.5 hrs and i was out with my gfrens for lunch. *yawn*

i went to Indonesia sometimes ago and went to JCO. To my suprise everything that bigapple have is similar with JCO. the logo, the donuts (even the topping), the crew uniform, the donut packaging.
to satisfy my curiosity, i ask the JCO crew over there asked whether big apple & Jco donuts owner is the same person... and to my surprise they said "NO"...
hmmm then big apple must have really rip JCO off... or the other way around??. but then i asked them (JCO) again how long has been in Indonesia? they said 2 years already... hmm... so we know who the pirate here... arrgh ya matey.

hrmm, from what it sounds, i think we all know who's the copycat here la.
but then again, i guess these kinda so-called practices are no longer foreign to us msians.
for me, as long as we get good, cheap, value for $ food, sudah cukup :P. bring it on pirates!
