I'm a pretty China doll

My dearest Kai ma,

How r u?

Papa + mommy + i went to see 'ah Kong Yong' (mummy calls him Dr Yong, why not ah kong?) this evening.

We had dinner in his place, and i had fun meeting the other uncles n aunties again.

Huhh...I was so surprised..

Ah Kong Yong then told me someone had a pressie for me. And I knew it is from you lo, kai ma.

Why? Cos Kai ma always buy me pressies. Kai ma loves me and always pamper me with beautiful clothings. I'm so lucky...Gotta thank my lucky stars. :)

Mmmm..i'm always very happy to receive pressies. i especially luv luv luv tearing off the gift paper..

Kai ma, mommy + i luv the cheongsam..It's soOooo nice n special n it's so so soft n silky. Yay!

Mommy said the cheongsam is good for the coming summer days ya! Mommy said she would not be able to get such beautiful cheongsam in poh poh's place. I think the place is Malacca.

Mommy loves the black pearl earrings you got her too.

I'm so excited to tell you this: We went on a steam train ride the other day. And i had so much fun hanging out with papa and mommy. Check out the pictures below!

Posing my best "i-pretend-as-if-i'm-not-aware-you're-taking-my-pix" pose.

With a friend i made there

And these are some random pix of me at home.

Having my bath while learning some words from the play chart.

i enjoy this most!

Gonna turn 2 soon. Can't wait to actually blow the candles on a big big cake.

Mum helped me to DIY some pressies for papa. I'm left handed. Mommy said i'm a budding artist. :) Weee..

Wrapping the gifts for papa

Phuket - oh what an eye-opener! - Day 2 & 3

Day 2 started off way way better.

We woke up extra early to take advantage of the sunny weather and hit the beach as soon as we've had our breakfast. Well, for the 4 of us at least. :P (Rahul and JJ continued with their slumber after breakfast).

Truth be told, i barely had more than 4 hrs sleep. But damn kiasu wanna lepak at the beach before it starts raining again.

Heading off to the beach right across the road from our hotel.

These guys charged us 100 baht (RM10) per lounge chair. Everything is chargeable in Phuket. Damn it!

This angmoh untied her bikini string - sigh, that's the closest thing i saw to tanning nude.

Being a loyal Aussie fan! Go Aussie Aussie! Oi oi oi!

The lovebirds finally paktoh-ing. How sweet! :)

I chilled and read a book while the 3 of them went snooping around.

Steph and Andrew brought back some coconuts! :)

A few things you can do here:

1) Sun tan
2) Read a good book and chill

3) hang out with friends

4) heck, even shopping!

I bought 2 dresses without having to go to the shops.

One of the dresses which i bought.

A vendor selling freshly peeled oranges.

We were approached by vendors selling their wares every 10 mins or so. Steph and Theresa bought some beautifully carved wooden elephants as gifts here. At a bargain too!

5) water sports

6) people watching...

We were drooling over this group of guys! Ma ma mia!

~*~*~*My 1st Thai massage*~*~*~

I was super keen to try out the traditional Thai massage. So off the 4 of us went hunting for a massage parlour that's clean and does not offer "happy endings".

My verdict?? I still prefer the traditional Balinese massage or a simple aromatherapy massage will do. Thai massage just doesn't do it for me.

~*~*~*The best meal i had in Phuket*~*~*~

Gotta thank Steph for this. She got very friendly with her masseuse and she managed to find out where we can go for authentic tomyam kung.

Yups, Song Pee Nong is the place. I dunno the address as it's situated in the back alley. However, it's very close to our hotel, which is very close to Holiday Inn.

L-R: Shrimp thai salad, Stir fried water spinach (funny how the plate is full of stem and has no leaves at all), and the best fried shrimp cakes ever! It was so good that we had another serving.

The best tomyam kung. We had 3 servings altogether. :)

Another tasty dish.
Thai green curry chicken. The yellow bit in there is a slice of pumpkin, i personally think it added flavour to the dish.

Rahul and JJ awoke from their long slumber to join us for lunch.

One thing i noticed that's very common in Phuket. In almost every dining place we've been to, we always get asked how we'd like to get the bills.

The staff were very willing to give us our individual bill. Or that we could say, "These 4 are sharing 1 bill, this guy wants a separate bill, and this lady here will have her own bill".

And the staff won't mind at all. Hnh, try doing this in Msia and you'll probably get an earful about how tedious that will be!

After lunch, Rahul and JJ went off for massage whereas the 4 of us went shopping despite the heavy rain. Seriously, i was always drenched wet - this trip is nothing but dry!

We're really happy we got to hang out at the beach earlier.

Dinner @ Grill & Grill

With my food poisoning kicking in, i didn't feel like i was able to share a huge seafood basket with the rest. And Rahul being a vegan, ordered his own meal as well.

Steph, JJ, Andrew and Theresa shared a seafood basket, grilled kebabs, and fried rice.

I barely touched my lobster thermidor. The guys ended up finishing this for me.

Day 3 - oh look! We're leaving and the weather looked so good!! Were we pissed or what??

Upon arrival at LCCT. Gosh, they've put chairs in the middle of the road.

This will probably be my one and only trip to Phuket. I personally prefer Bangkok as a holiday destination.

For one, things in Bkk are much cheaper. Also, the ppl are friendlier and will not harass you. I got teased many times by the Nepalese in Phuket, "Hey sexy! blablabla", "Hi! Ni hao ma! blablabla", which I'm not comfortable with.
