Phuket - oh what an eye-opener! - Day 1

Prior to our trip, we've been forewarned not to go cos of the news about how chaotic Bkk is and how the Phuket airport was forced to close due to the protest from the ppl.

We decided to go despite such news. We reckon it'll be similar to our Hindraf case here, and only a small majority/area was involved anyway.

In fact, Phuket was as peaceful as can be. Nothing like what we imagined. And also it wasn't as scary as what the media portrayed about. Guess the riot is only happening in Bkk.

But gosh..it was raining cats n dogs when we got there. Heck, it even flooded when we arrived at Patong beach. Darn darn darn!

JJ booked us into a beautiful resort - Horizon Beach Resort.

We gals got the room with the garden view, whereas the guys got the one with the pool view.

I really love how spacious the room is. Also, we've got stove and all equipped in the room.

It was raining the entire day. Sien-ness!

We went into an alley in search for food.
Then we stumbled upon some quaint art stores.

I so wanted to get this Audrey Hepburn piece. It costs about RM500.

We decided to have our lunch/tea time at Arroi.
L-R: Rahul, me, Steph, Andrew, Theresa, JJ.

This is what Steph has to say, "Aiyoo..u kissed me liddat. My reputation gone la!"
Kekeke..

Andrew's pineapple fried rice.

As compared to JJ's fried rice with crab meat, Andrew's was much better. The guys reckoned the portion here so a tad too small.

The guys already starting drinking. Broad daylight? What? Where?

I was a good gal, skipped the alcohol cos I wasn't too well. Had the urge to vomit still.

My not-so-authentic-catered-to-Angmoh-tomyam kung. Mental note to self: must find authentic Thai tomyam.

Theresa's dessert.

And barely 10 mins later, we went in search for food again. Cos the portion was simply not enough.

These jagung bakar are da bomb! Sweet, juicy and fragrant!

Next, we hung out at Molly Malone's (an irish pub) to chill and avoid the rain.

More beers coming up (but not for me). :(

Then for a few games of pool.

Steph is a real hustler la. I played against her the 1st game and i lost flat. :(

Returned to the hotel around 8+pm, and we saw two extra beds set up beside the King sized bed. Ohh, how sweet. There's orchid as well.

Steph and I camwhoring with the orchids.

We were told that the Horizon Beach Resort boasts the best Italian and Indian restaurants around. So, we decided to check out Borsalino's their Italian restaurant.

Time to camwhore!

Each of us was required to come up with a personalised pose. Check out what we've got.

1st candidate: Rahul the babe magnet!

2nd candidate: Steph the cutie-pie!

3rd candidate: JJ - dunno what he's trying to portray. Godfather eh?

4th candidate: Theresa - the babe

5th candidate: Andrew - tall, dark and....

6th candidate: Carrie - no idea what i was doing with the orchid. (btw, the orchid smelled really bad, i think the water in the vase hasn't been changed for days)

Trying to act cute...

But Rahul did a better job at it!

No no! JJ's the best! So sweet!
The orchid looks good on him! He's even sweeter than us girls :P

Then he revealed his real self...He was hungry beyond belief..and this is what happened~ You see a pissed JJ!

My dessert~ i love panna cotta!
It was kinda disappointing though, cos it's not smooth enough.

I was thrilled to the max. Most of the fast food joints here are opened 24hrs! Mckers, BK, and Pizza Hut. You'll never starve here man!

On the way to Bangla Road - the clubbing St!

Welcome to Bangla Road! The most happening place in Patong!

Ladyboys anyone?

A ladyboy adorned with butterfly wings. He/she was damn stuck up, saw us taking photos and immediately turned her back towards us.

Erotic underwears??? hahaha

Clean toilets!!!
Look at the signage...quite dodgy right?

Entering a strip bar. Had a real eye-popping experience here man!

We weren't allowed to take any pictures during the Tiger Show. Most of the stunts kinda knocked us off our chairs man! Imagine opening a coke bottle cap with that! Ouch! or imagine that thing is so strong that you can even shoot darts outta it and burst some balloons. Ouch! or imagine smoking 2 ciggies with that!

We even saw a girl on girl act. The girls were emotionless and totally showed zero enthusiasm. It was super disgusting. We couldn't wait to get out of the place.

Next we went to Rock City.

This is the place to go if you love heavy metal, rock, grunge, and alternative rock. Ooh, they played a good many Nirvana, Guns n Roses, Green Day, Metallica, and even Cranberries' Zombie - the rock version.

I felt as if i was back in secondary school, back to the time when i used to attend every single performance my ex and his band was performing. He was the lead guitarist. :)

Rock City rockssss!!

The nurses here kept harassing RR. Trying to give sell him a shot! 100 baht per shot. Value for money man! Moreover, this stuff is lethal, it's pretty strong when it's shot straight into your throat.

Another one!

Up next..Seduction!

This is the place to go if you like R n B music. They were having MTV Friday night. Admission is free and what's more, we get a free drink each!!

Grooving grooving grooving..

Buy 1 free 1 bucket!

Up next Tiger discotheque!!

Another happening place not to be missed.

Gosh, i was so tired i could sleep there and then. It was already 4+am and we were still partying away. My contacts were drying up already.

We took photo with 2 of the hottest guys around. They were damn good while dancing on the podium.

One thing the guys noticed. As the club was approaching closing time, you can literally see all the girls (or ladyboys since it's hard to tell) smiling their 1000 watt smiles at you. They're actively on the prowl for a man to bring them home.

9 out of 10 gals approached the guys to "bring me home please?". Aijoo..

What an eye opener man!

Our 1st nite ended at Tiger discotheque. It was closed to 6am when we left. Gosh, i'm bushed. Been up for almost 24 hrs already.
