A Day to Celebrate Love?

I received my first Valentine's greeting from Tiffany and Jazz at exactly 12am Msian time.

They sent me this via email.

It's now close to 1am, shall I be wondering if I'll be getting any flowers at work in the morning? Or am I already so sick of all these commercialised gimmicks, that I don't give a hoot if I did or not?

Speaking of which, I was at the florist just yesterday. Wanted to get a bouquet of flowers as a gift for my ex-colleague who has just given birth earlier in the morning, to a cute baby boy.

And this was how our conversation went.

Florist: You wanna buy flowers? For Valentine's?
Carrie: No, my friend has just given birth. Can you suggest what sort of flowers I should get her?
Florist: Well, definitely not roses.
Carrie: Why? Some sort of pantang (superstition) is it?
Florist: No-la, roses are expensive these 3 days, from 12 - 14 Feb the prices for roses are sky high.
Carrie: How much for a bouquet?
Florist: You're looking at RM120++, 3 stalks if you buy today is already RM35.
Carrie: Okay, can I get the sunflowers please?
-_-

Tell me if I'm wrong, I always feel that you do not need to express your love only on this one day. You should be telling your loved ones that you love them everyday - as much as you can.

Imagine, if ever one day, they get dementia *touch wood*, hopefully they'll still remember this one thing (that you love them) as you've been reminding them over and over again of your love for them.

Isn't that sweeter?

So start celebrating love everyday!!!

I love you guys!!! (and you know who you are :P)
