Birthday dinner with cheemuis

~*~*~* Birthday dinner with cheemuis *~*~*~

Saturday, 14th April 07

The gals and i went to Hajime for dinner to celebrate that i'll be officially more FABULOUS next week.

Hajime is kinda like the new kid on the block. It was newly opened in Feb this year and i heard quite a few good reviews about this place already.

So what have i gotta say about this place? The service was top notch right from the beginning. The staff were friendly, very attentive and helpful. I'm such a sucker when it comes to good service and i love staff who can give good food recommendation. The food here tantalised my taste buds. =)

You won't miss this cute pufferfish signboard outside the bungalow.

The exterior

The reception area.

i like these miniature japanese ryori deco. so kawai!

The interior

It's chic yet a hint of Jap tradition still remains..the tatami mat for one. There's a bar at the back.

More pufferfishes!

Cindy & Mon

Men and i

Our appetiser: sashimi salad with mild wasabi sauce & sesame.

Introducing the BLACK SPIDER (which is actually soft shell crab sushi)

We loved the temaki. For the 1st round, i had soft shell crab temaki.

It was so good that we had to have seconds! My second roll was salmon temaki. Price was really value for money, Rm10 for a roll. The salmon roll was really very good. Generous spread of salmon slices with avocado (another fave) and crab roe.

Tempura moriawase

We ordered a "Lady Set" to share. RM55 per set.

This is the BEST chawan mushi i've ever tasted. Serious. It was sOoOoOoo soft n smooth. As smooth as the smoothest taufu fa. It was truly da bomB!

My fave gals!

Ice creams for dessert : macha, black sesame, and choc + nuts.

Time to open my pressie.

Touching moment! *muaks* gals! [note: this pretty card was later soiled with my puke :P . Sorry couldnt help it]

Received Nike vouchers. Can get a new bra top for gym now. =)

Just what i wanted!! A earrings rack! Yay! I so need to organise my accessories.

The girls wanted to know if i was a DIY gal. They werent sure i could assemble this rack myself :p.

It was so funny, i actually screwed the leg upside down (see pix). Had to unscrew and re-screw. Darn!

Dun underestimate this lil missy. She can so do DIY.

Cant wait to hang my earrings collection here. =)

[the next day] i think i need another earrings rack. :P

Time to leave Hajime and head off for some FUN

~*~*~* Drinks *~*~*~

We headed off to Sky Bar @ Trader's Hotel

View from the 34th floor (where the spa is). KLCC looks gorgeous at night.

Descend down this flight of stairs to level 33, where Sky Bar is.

We so wanted to be seated by the window. But we were told that we're put on waiting list (which was pretty loooOong) as all the seats were reserved. Darn!

These seats were really uncomfortable. It was awkward for us, we felt like we were sitting in "nowhere". So not glam!

Our drinks:
1st round: Red wine (Cindy), Flirtini (mine), Kiwi Rush (Carmen), Mojito (Mon)

After an hour or so, we finally got our sofa seats by the window.

it's our turn to be envied by the ppl from across the pool. =p

there was a private function goin on..

....and one of the angmohs from this party decided to jump into the pool. in the end, there were about 5 of them. And at one point, when i was dancing, the waiter was actually using something to fish out some trunks from the pool. LOL!

KL night view =)

It was a very warm night. Or rather the ventilation wasn't that great, we were all sweating like mad.
Time for more drinks.

I had a cosmopolitan while Carmen ordered a Iced peach martini.

cheers

my third drink: champagne - got this free from the waiter :p. Birthday gal special!

Adhi (Cindy's colleague) came to join our table....

Adhi brought his neighbour, Teng along.

Somewhere along, we mentioned Singapore. And Teng said that i look the most "Singaporean" amongst the gals. And i gave him this - the finger!

So Teng bought me a glass of Kir Royale champagne as a mean of an apology.

We were introduced to the DJs whilst dancing @ the dance floor. Lotsa hot mamas there.

Thank you gals. I had a fabulous and amazing night. It was truly memorable *winks*

I love you gals!

XOXOXOXO, Ven
